Dorothy Mae Repasky Seresun

Our dear and precious mommy Dorothy Mae Repasky Seresun went to Heaven Tuesday, June 22, 2010 to be with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, where there is no more pain, suffering or sickness. She had complications after open heart surgery May 12 at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born September 5, 1937, the only child to Stephen and Verna Novotny Repasky. She was married to Joseph Seresun Jr. on October 18, 1958 for 28 years and still remained very good friends. She had five daughters whom she treasured: Julianne Steven Balik, Theresa Mae Timothy Hubal, Rose Marie Gary Daymut, Mary Elizabeth John C. deceased Barba and our precious "Boopie" Veronica Lou Seresun deceased. She also loved all her son-in-laws very much, they were so special to her. She had three exceptionally wonderful blessings in her life, her grandchildren; Kayla Marie Anthony Daymut-Anderson, Matthew Daniel Daymut, and John Carl "Johnny" Barba II. They brought so much joy and love into her life. There was no one like "our grammie" and having "grammie days" with her. She leaves two aunts, many cousins, many nieces and nephews, her church family and lots of wonderful friends. Dorothy was a 1955 graduate of Byesville High School. She was a member of Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church and had served on council and a member of St. Andrew's "O" Club. She was involved in many businesses in her lifetime. She was a Realtor since 1965 also owning Guernsey Realty in Cambridge. She enjoyed her work, she was a member and past president of the Cambridge Board of Realtors and a member of the Ohio Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She and her family owned and operated the Teen Junction, Seresun's 5&10, Five Sisters Dress & Bridal Shop, Pizza Pizzazz and the Pioneer Party Barn and Catering. She was cherished by her family, "Our Best Friend". No words can express how much she will be missed and the void that will be in our lives. She loved helping people and was always concerned about others, especially children. She enjoyed traveling and going to amusement parks with her family. She also enjoyed catering, cooking, playing board games, coloring and shopping just to name a few. She loved her church and made sure she taught her children and grandchildren about God and praying. We know that she is in a better place now because "God sent His only begotten Son, Our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ into the world to save sinners and whosoever believes in Him will have everlasting life." Visitation will be on Friday, June 25, 2010 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home from 2 to 8 pm with a Panikhida Service at 7 pm. The funeral service will be on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Christ The Saviour Orthodox Church in Byesville at 10 am with the church opened at 9 am. Father Mark Lowery and Father Emil Hutnyan will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery Byesville, Ohio.
