Rose Marie Boggs

Rose Marie Hall Boggs, age 89, of Cambridge, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017, at The Beckett House in New Concord, Ohio. She was born May 20, 1928, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Kennard ("K.C.") and Vashti Little Smith. Mrs. Boggs is a 1946 graduate of Brown High School. She retired from the Cambridge Mental Health and Developmental Center, and had worked at the Berwick Hotel and RCA. She was an avid reader. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband and beloved companion, Paul Boggs; two brothers, Charles "Stanley" and infant Wilson Smith; infant sister, Marjorie Smith; daughter-in-law Kathy Boggs; granddaughter, Traci Danley; great granddaughter, Amber Goren; and father of her children, John Summerfield Cherrington Hall. She is survived by her two daughter, Shirley (Ralph) Holland of Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, and Ida (Jeff) Bowles of Reynoldsburg; and two sons, Randy Hall of Cambridge, and John Stanley Hall of Atlanta, GA; one step-daughter, Rita (Dan) Mays of Lowell, Michigan; three step sons Robert Boggs of Lowell, MI, Donald Boggs of Byesville, and Larry (Bonnie) Boggs of Concord, N.C.; twelve grandchildren, Abigail (Aaron) Phillips, Eric Eddy Hall, John Stephen Hall, Robert Hall, Christopher (Sarah)Bowles, Nicholas Bowles, Kristi Kelly, Ryan Dollahite, Christopher (Amanda) Boggs, Angela Hood, Shawn (Candy) Boggs, and Michelle Freeze; numerous great grandchildren; one nephew; and her cherished Chihuahua, Precious. At Rose's request, there will be no funeral services. Her cremated remains will be interred in the Salesville Methodist Cemetery at the family's convenience.
