Charles D. Stewart

Charles D. Stewart, age 95 of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Astoria Place. He was born on July 20, 1926 in Cambridge, a son of the late Edgar Stewart and Jessie Stewart. Mr. Stewart was a graduate of Cambridge High School and was Methodist by faith. Charles was a truck driver, and a farmer. He had his own truck for a while before going to work for Roadway. He was a member of the Teamster Union also. Charles is preceded in death by: his parents; his wife Alberta Elizabeth (Whitsel) Stewart; two brothers, Blair Stewart and James Stewart; and a sister Charlene Long; and a son-in-law Thomas L. Fowler. He leaves: his daughters, Sandra Ann Stewart Fowler of Cambridge and Charlene Lucille (& David) Stewart Fitzpatrick of Barnesville; grandchildren, Thomas Joe Fowler, Hattie E. (& Tim) Stinard, April Lynn (& Greg) Anderson, Candace Kay (& Kevin) Haggerty and Troy David (& Melissa) Fitzpatrick; and great grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley, Derick, Jeremy, Jarrod, Jessica, Mariya, Tyler, Justin, Aaron and Matthew; and 13 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; and a special friend Rhea Stinard. A graveside memorial service will be held at Guernsey Memory Gardens on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 11 am with Pastor Brent Belcher officiating.
