Shirley Anne Mason Johnson Merce, age 83 of Cambridge OH, passed away on December 13 at Gaymont Norwalk,OH. She was born on December 31, 1934 in Mansfield, daughter of the late Les Mason and Dorothy (Kolp) Mason. She enjoyed spending time with her family and special friends. She took daily walks and volunteered with all sporting events at the Cambridge Stadium. Thanks to Dave Gray for keeping her busy at the stadium and allowing her to meet many new friends. Shirley loved to read and appreciated the Cambridge library's great selection of books. Shirley was married in November of 1953 to Bert Johnson, Father of their five children, he passed away February 17,1975. Shirley remarried September of 1983 to Leroy Merce, he passed away December 13, 2006 after a long illness. Shirley is also preceded in death by a brother Jim Mason, Step Granddaughter Misty Early and 1 great great granddaughter Kennedy James Camp. She leaves a sister Judy Hartwig of Norwalk; her children, Cathy (Joe) Leroux, Ronald (Jackie Bufkin) Johnson of Mississippi, Linda (Rusty) Camp of Texas, Don Johnson of Cambridge, Sherry Johnson of Grove City, a sister in law Louanna (Dale) Rogers, grandchildren, Steffani (Tim) Jamison, Joe (Dina) Leroux, Melissa (Justin) Wright, Kristen (Adam) Minninger both of Mississippi, Carrie (LC) Harrison, Keith (Traci) Camp, Ashley (Walter) Jackson all of Texas, Melissa (Justin) Pelfrey, of Westerville, Kyle Carver of Arizona, Brittiney (Bob Ramey) Johnson, of Westerville, Diamond Johnson of Cambridge and 27 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home 120 N. 11th St. Cambridge, OH on Monday December 17th from 11am-2pm service following at 2 pm, Pastor Dan Milburn will officiate with burial following in Flat Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Guernsey County Library uptown and to the Cambridge High School Athletic Department.
