William Dale Armentrout

August 26, 1947 - May 7, 2022

William Dale Armentrout, age 74 of Byesville, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and some of his closest friends. He was born on August 26, 1947 in Mt Nebo, WV to the late William McKinley and Nina Hazel (Hughes) Armentrout. Dale proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1969 and he was awarded the bronze star for his heroic duties. His work later brought him to Ohio where he met his loving and devoted wife, Georgiann Lynn (Hunter) Armentrout. He was a very strategic craftsman, owning his own construction company Shawnee Builder with Georgiann and their two sons until retirement. He had a great love of the outdoors and fishing, especially along the banks of West Virginia. In addition to his parents, Dale is preceded in death by his sister Dorotha Curry and brother Kenneth Armentrout both of WV. Dale is survived by his wife, sister Marjorie Jones of Tuscon, AZ., daughter Michelle Nutter of WV., 2 sons William David (Cassie) Armentrout of Senecaville, and Christopher (Amy) Armentrout of Byesville, grandchildren Mariah, Bethany, Hannah, Noah, William Joseph, James, Neina, Chance, Jayden, Regan, and McKinley, great grandson William Levi and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial services will be conducted at Bundy-Law Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Sunday May 22, 2022 with Pastor John Neff officiating and with military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council. The family would like to thank Hospice of Guernsey for their compassionate care and dedication. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice of Guernsey P.O. Box 1165 Cambridge, Ohio 43725. On-line condolences can be sent to the family at www.bundy-lawfuneralhome.com.
