Aghdas "Azam" Nosrati, age 73 of Cambridge, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Tabriz, Iran on March 12, 1946, a daughter of the late Edris Ghanbari - Nojedeh and Kokab Chelopazi. She was one of nine children with most of her family residing in Iran. During her adult years in Iran, Aghdas worked in a hospital in Tehran as a nursing assistant. In the United States, Aghdas was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed cooking, gardening, singing, dancing, fashion, and the arts. She was a member of the Cambridge Singers, and volunteered throughout the community.
She is preceded in death by: her husband Ahmad Nosrati.
Surviving are: her children, Elika of Seattle, Allen of Washington D.C., and Elaine of Columbus. She is also survived by her step-children, Arya, Aida, Arman, and Vedad.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Unity Presbyterian Church at 2 PM. Pastor Jeff Bergeson will officiate with burial to follow in Northwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to go to a lung cancer non-profit organization called Lungevity ( https://lungevity.org ).
