Obituary

Alice Joan Stropki, age 85, formerly of Kipling, OH, passed away Thursday August 20, 2020 at Passages at Willowbrook Christan Village in Delaware, OH. She was born on July 24, 1935 to the late John Basalla and Elizabeth (Almasie) Basalla in Lore City.
Alice is a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Lore City. She graduated from Lore City High School. She was a homemaker and sold Avon products for 25 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and working crossword puzzles. Alice liked gardening and going for walks and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Alice was very strong in her Catholic faith.
Along with her parents Alice is preceded in death by her husband Donald G. Stropki who passed away on January 18, 2016, they were married on November 6, 1954. Five sisters: Elizabeth Basalla, Ann Yousko, Mary Goodrich, Margaret Gibson, Helen Vahalla. Six brothers: Michael Basalla, Andy Basalla, Tony Basalla, George Basalla, Joseph Basalla, William Basalla.
Alice is survived by three sons: John Stropki of Westerville, Michael (Catherine) Stropki of Conover, David Stropki of Byesville. Two daughters, Lisa Fluharty of Cambridge and Mary Jo (Joseph) Keller of Powell. One Brother, Samuel (Sue) Basalla, Cleveland, OH. One sister, Irene (Joseph) Sekel - Buffalo. Nine grandchildren: Nichole, Mike, Matt, Michelle, Nakita, Stefan, Ben, Will, Grace. and five great grandchildren: Tyce, Kade, Finn. Londyn, Ellie. Many nieces and nephews and special friends.
Friends may call Sunday from 2:00 till 3:00 pm at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. The Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 pm. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Father Paul Hrezo officiating. Burial to follow in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery.
