Almer C. "Al" Dudley, Byesville, born March 7, 1945 in Cambridge and died at home on March 30, 2012. Survived by devoted wife of 43 years, Mollie (Pierce) Dudley; children Jon (Michelle) Dudley of Columbus, Julie (Don) Scheithe of Oxford, Connecticut, Jennifer (Eric) Altland of Cambridge and Janell (Nick) Blizzard of Monroeville, Pennsylvania; grandchildren Logan, Quinn and Meredith Dudley and Zachary and Laney Altland; brother, Clarence (Diana) Dudley of Pleasant City; sisters, Carol Bowers of New Concord and Nola Rottmayer of Cheney, Washington and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Roland and Wanda (Larrick) Dudley and a sister Charlotte. Al served in the Ohio National Guard and retired from the Ohio State Highway Patrol as a drivers license examiner after 25 years of service, and had led the Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle as pastor for 28 years.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 from 3 to 8 pm. The service will be held at Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle / 62986 Dunning Lane / Cambridge, Ohio 43725 at 11 am on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Rev. Mark Dunlap will officiate the service with burial following in Guernsey Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle to help further the work of the Lord, to which Al had dedicated his life or to the National Alliance on Mental Illness "NAMI" 3803 North Fairfax Drive Suite 100 Arlington, VA. 22203,
