Amanda E. Lapp, age 79 of Quaker City, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at her home. She was born on August 29, 1941 in Nappanee, Indiana, a daughter of the late Eli and Catherine (Coblentz) Borkholder.
Amanda was a faithful member of the Heritage Mennonite Church in New Concord, Ohio. She lived most of her married life in Antrim, Ohio. She was a caring wife, mother and grandmother and friend to many.
Survived by her husband of 58 years, 11 months and 14 days, Mervin Lapp; children, Laura Jean (Ivan) Miller of Linn, Missouri, LaMar (Faith) Lapp of Quaker City, Ohio, Arlen Eli (Lourdes) Lapp of Cayo, Belize, Ruth Marie (Dave) Lapp of New Holland, Pennsylvania, Edward Alva (Rita) Lapp of Quaker City, Ohio, 24 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and Eldon (Terri) Borkholder of Nappanee, Indiana.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by: brothers, Daniel, Joseph, John Henry, Jacob, Menno and Raymond; sisters, Anna, Sara, Emma, Ada and Clara.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 1 to 4 pm and 5:30 to 8 pm at the Antrim Mennonite Church, 20360 Cadiz Road Freeport, Ohio 43973. Funeral will be on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 10 am at 59715 West Road, New Concord, Ohio 43762, officiated by Jonathan Raber. Burial will follow in Heritage Mennonite Cemetery.
