Barbara Jean Folger, age 85, of Lore City, OH passed away Tuesday December 6, 2022 at her home. Barbara was born on November 3, 1937 to the late Charles Roth and Evelyn (Haseley) Roth in Cleveland, OH. Barbara worked at Huntington Bank but spent most of her time as a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Cleveland for 50 years and a member of Winterset United Methodist Church where she served as recording secretary. Barbara was a volunteer treasurer for the Cambridge Community Meals On Wheels and served on the board of The Senior Center. Barbara received the Sandy West Guardian Angels Award for her service at The Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center. She was dedicated to her breast Cancer support group (Positively Pink).
Barbara is survived by her husband, Larry F. Folger of the home. They were married on September 22, 1956. Three daughters: Laura (Martin) Riffle of Somerset, OH, Kathleen (James) Benedict of Hinkley, OH, Kelly Beck of Garfield Heights, OH. One son, David C. (Michele) Folger of Cleveland, OH. Nine grandchildren: Kate Salvatore, Anthony Salvatore, Aaron (Melanie) Folger, Kristina Folger, William (Allison) Benedict, Rachael (Tim) Benedict-Bennet, Ryan Benedict, Matthew Benedict, Meghan McGuire. Seven great grandchild, Sophia Evelyn Drake, Adam Drake, Mason Mariotti, Jaxon Benedict, Claire Benedict, Drew Benedict-Bennet, Nora Benedict- Bennet. Friends may call Saturday from 11 am till 1:30 pm at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. The Funeral will take place at 1:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Nancy Parsons officiating. Burial will take place at Guernsey Memory Gardens.
