Bernard G. Whetstone, age 87, of Cambridge, OH passed away peacefully Wednesday June 23, 2021 at the home of his daughter. He was born on April 23, 1934 to the late Wayne Whetstone and Edna Spencer Whetstone in Guernsey County. Bernard worked for Harper Hutchison as a Truck Driver. Later worked at Shenandoah Truck Stop and Cambridge Cleaners. He attended The Church of Christ in New Concord, OH.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Jessie Whetstone who passed away in 1990. One son, Bill Whetstone. Two sisters, Maxine and Betty. Two brothers, Donald and Chester.
Bernard is survived by his wife Janice Whetstone of Amherst Meadows, Massillon, OH. One daughter, Donna D. Sopko of Cambridge, OH. Seven grandchildren: Keith, Kevin, Katie, Jessie, Brianna, Brittany, Samatha. Several great grandchildren. Bernard is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Monday June 28 from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will take place at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Townsend officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Cemetery.
