Betty Jane (Mills) Matthews, age 90 of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Countryview Assisted Living. She was born on July 7, 1932 in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Carl F. Mills and Margaret E. (Wheatley) Mills.
Betty was a graduate of Brown High School. She had worked as a secretary for Cambridge Pottery for a few years, along with raising six children. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, country music, yard sales and was an avid Ohio State fan. She was married to Kenneth W. Matthews on March 10, 1952. He passed away on December 16, 2013.
Betty is survived by: a daughter Rhonda (& Tom) McCoy of Boiling Springs Lake, N.C.; sons Kenny (& Sharon) Matthews, Marty (& Cheryl) Matthews, Doug (& Sandy) Matthews and Regan Matthews all of Cambridge; a sister Theresa Flesher of Georgia; eight grandchildren, Chad McCoy, Sabrina (& John) Long, Taylor Matthews, Derek (&Andrea) Matthews, Brittany (& fiancé`e Mathew) Matthews, Lori Matthews, Craig Matthews and Brooke Matthews; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and close friends.
Betty is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Kenneth W. Matthews; a son Robbie Matthews; a grandson Jared Matthews; and two brothers, Richard "Dick" Mills and Jerry Mills.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home from 11 am to 12 pm with the service to begin at 12 pm. Jeff Russ will officiate with burial to follow in Northwood Cemetery. Betty's online guestbook may be viewed and signed at www.bundy-lawfuneralhome.com .
