Betty L. Tickhill, age 100 of Glenn Highway in Cambridge, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at the Beckett House. She was born in Senecaville on August 12, 1925, a daughter of the late Everett Dewitt Green and Mable (Tipton) Green.
Mrs. Tickhill was a 1943 graduate of Senecaville High School. After graduation, and during the war, she had worked at Continental Can. She then worked for the next 33 years at the Guernsey County Probate Court and retired as Chief Deputy Clerk. She was a member of the Midway Church of God and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a facilitator for the Alzheimer's support group and was a devout Christian.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Oliver F. Tickhill on August 5, 1970, they were married on June 14, 1958; also deceased is her brother James William Green.
She is survived by: two sons, James T. Draughon and William "Bill" (& Susan) Tickhill; her grandchildren, Timmy Draughon, Travis (& Candi) Draughon, Bobbi (& Josh) Williams and William J. Tickhill; her great grandchildren, Ami, Austin, T.J., Lexi, Alaina and Mason; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 11 am 1 pm with the service to begin at 1pm. Burial will follow in Senecaville Cemetery. Betty's online guest book may be viewed and signed at www.bundy-lawfuneralhome.com .
