Bonnie L. Burris, age 90 of Cambridge, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. She was born on November 8, 1928 in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Lewis Edward Mayberry and Ava Irene (Todd) Mayberry.
Mrs. Burris was a 1946 Graduate of Old Washington High School. She attended Cambridge Business College before going to work at Universal Pottery. Later she became church secretary at 9th Street United Methodist Church and later the secretary at 1st United Methodist Church for over 30 years where she stayed until retirement.
Bonnie had been a former 4-H Advisor; she was a member of the Cambridge Business Girls and a long time member of the Beckett United Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church. She was very active in the church choirs. She was a great cook and baker and shared that experience with her daughters and granddaughter. She loved traveling and spending time with her family.
On August 15, 1949, she married Warren G. Burris. After he was diagnosed with M.S., she provided over 30 years of fine health care before his passing in 2004. Also preceding her in death is a daughter Janet Kay Combs and a brother David Mayberry.
Bonnie is survived by: a daughter Nancy (Gordon) Share of Canton; a son John Randall "Randy" Burris of Cambridge; a sister Karen Lenhart of Cambridge; five grandchildren, Jeffrey W. Miller, Ryan D, Miller, Jaelyn K. Combs, Jonathan T. (Erin Liberg) Share and Brian M. Share; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be a Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Monday, July 15, 2019 from 4 to 6 pm. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 am with Rev. Tina Gallaher officiating.
