Obituary

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Brenda Joyce (Boris) Oliver, was called home by our Lord on the evening of May 25, 2024 at Cambridge Place surrounded by her two sons and her daughter-in-law.
Brenda, known affectionately as B-Ollie to many a nickname given to her by her granddaughter Natashia, was born in Bellaire, Ohio on February 24, 1941 to Michael Phillip Boris and Clara Nancy Alice (Yocum) Boris who preceded her in death along with her stepfather Okey Paul Henthorn. Also preceding her in death were longtime friends Helga Ray and Eloise Long (part of the five ladies that were all only children who became longtime friends).
She is survived by son William T. (Bill) Oliver and son and daughter-in-law Eric I. and Rena A. Oliver, granddaughter Natashia (Oliver) Gomez and husband Michael, great-granddaughter Mia Gomez, great-granddaughter Sophia Winland, great-grandson Karson Winland, and lifelong friends Joyce Holdren and Karen Pyle.
Brenda was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cincinnati Reds, the Cincinnati Bengals, and following granddaughter Natashia's athletics. She loved to color and play board games with her great-grandchildren, sketching, drawing, and painting, crafts and making wedding and special occasion flower arrangements. She also got great enjoyment from Mia's summer visits.
Brenda worked multiple jobs through the years while raising her sons. She worked 29 years at Ametek March Electric until its closing in 2000, she was a waitress at Salt Fork Lodge and The Plaza, and she worked at the Cambridge Developmental Center until she retired in 2005 after suffering a stroke. She retired in the country with her family and traveled to visit her family while they were stationed in Alaska, Maryland, Texas, and Nevada before moving into Cambridge Place in February 2023.
The family would like to thank Dr. Pat Goggin and the staff at Medical Associates, the staff at Cambridge Place, and Shrivers Hospice for all of the care they provided for our dear mother.
Calling hours will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home Wednesday, May 29 from 4:00-7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home Thursday May 30 at 11:00 am followed by burial service at Northwood Cemetery officiated by Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh.
