Carol Jean Speakman Collins Everett age 77 of McCoole, Maryland, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Moran Nursing and Rehab Center in Westernport, Maryland. She was born on December 26, 1946 in Cambridge, a daughter of the late William A. Speakman and Jennie Mae (Hardy) Speakman.
Carol was a 1965 graduate of Cambridge High School. She was a Home Health Care and Daycare Worker. She was a very active member of the Cambridge Salvation Army, including the Home League, a music teacher, and a Sunday School teacher.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; her first husband Dwight Collins and second husband Joseph Everett; and an infant sister Debbie Sue Speakman.
Surviving are: her children, Dwight E. (Cindy) Collins III and Duane A. Collins; three granddaughters, Tiffany R. Collins, Kelly L. Collins and Erica J. Scott; great grandchildren, Braxton X. Fechuch, Abrianna C. Fechuch and Carter W. S. Fechuch; her sisters, Wanda Morris, Peggy Atchison, and Dixie Barcikowski; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 1 pm to 2 pm with the service to begin at 2 pm. Captains Ed and Candy McMillen will officiate with burial to follow in Guernsey Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local Alzheimer's organization.
