Catherine Aldene Tharp, age 95 of Cambridge, Ohio passed away Saturday January 14, 2023 at Altercare of Cambridge. She was born on October 1, 1927 in Ryerson Station, PA., to the late Charles and Blanche (Cumpston) Parson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Paul D. Tharp who passed away in 2006 and whom she married on June 23, 1956, a stepdaughter Paula Burbacher, 4 brothers Charles, John, Frank, and Bill Parson, 3 sisters Nora Caldwell, Doris Engle, and Helen Riley.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, she was Pillar of the church in 2010, member of the Naomi Women's Group, served on several offices including CWF President, deaconess, and sunday school teacher, was on the membership, worship, outreach, nominating and fellowship committees. She loved serving the church and quilting with the Crafty Ladies. She was always volunteering for church dinners, vacation bible school, the clothes closet and many other outreach projects.

Aldene is survived by 2 sons Larry (Susan) Tharp of New Concord and Jim (Stacey) Tharp of Cambridge, a step-son Lee (Diane) Tharp of Bakersfield, California, 5 grandchildren Jacob (Alaina) Tharp, Megan (Michael) Cianflona, Mary Cae (Jason) Abrams, Nathan (Jessie) Tharp, and Victoria (Konrad) Kaniowski, 11 great grandchildren Jase, Jordan, and Jemma Tharp, Emily, Elise, and Addison Abrams, Lily, Lincoln, and Leo Tharp, Lorelei and Sebastian Kaniowski, and many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, a brother Jim Parson, and 2 sisters Faye Morris and Nell Jones.

Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 on Thursday January 19, 2023 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home with funeral services at 11:00 AM Friday January 20, 2023 at the funeral home with Rev.
