Obituary

Christine L. Gibson - Turner, age 61 of Cambridge, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at her home. She was born in Glen Burnie, Maryland on September 2, 1963, a daughter of the late Jacqueline A. (& James) Koch and Harold Gibson.
Chris was a graduate of Cambridge High School class of 1981. She was a dedicated Realtor for over 42 years and was the Broker/Owner of Century 21 Gibson-Turner and Associates for 30 years. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and many other area organizations including: a member of the Ohio Board of Realtors, the Eagles, Elks, Moose, W.I.C., the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, the Haven of Hope, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the VFW Women's Auxiliary.
Chris was a vibrant and compassionate individual whose warmth and kindness was felt by everyone she encountered. She had an infectious laughter that could brighten even the darkest days and a genuine interest in the lives of those around her. Her friends and family often described her as the glue that held them all together, someone who offered comfort and support without needing to be asked. A lover of life, she approached every day with a sense of curiosity and adventure, inspiring others to embrace their passions and live fully. She had a love for travel and was known as the 'Pickleball Queen' by her local athletes. She was cherished for her generous acts of service, her creative endeavors, and her ability to make people feel valued. She left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Chris is survived by: her husband of almost 17 years, Richard "Ric" Conner of Cambridge; two daughters, Renee (& Paul) Spence of Lexington, SC and Nicholette (& Parker) Wahl of Cambridge; a special aunt Donna Oliver; her sisters, Debbie Greenwald and Kaycee (Richard) Barnett; a brother Sam (& David) Koch; grandchildren, Charlotte and Paul Joseph "P.J." Spence; her grand puppies, Brice, Oliver and Olivia; many nieces, Caitlyn Darby & family, Kayla Hanson & family, Amanda St.Lot & family, Ehrin Darby & family, Emily Barnett & family; several great nieces and nephews; special cousins, Stephen (& Michaela) Oliver and family and Nole Oliver; lifelong friends, the four muskateers, with Chris, Kim, Ann and Debbie that morphed into her golden girls with the original set and Kim, Jena, Jan, and Linda; and numerous other great friends. Chris was never one to miss a celebration, and was usually involved in the planning. Her joy and laughter will forever be part of the memories of the community and all those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 11 am to 2 pm. A celebration of life will follow at 5 pm at the Cambridge Eagles.
