Clifford Wellman, age 91 of Cambridge, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 13, 1923 in Irad, Kentucky, a son of the late Harlan Wellman and Gypsy (Adams) Wellman.
Cliff was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cambridge. He served his country in the U.S.Army during W.W. II and the Korean War. He retired from Roadway as a truck driver. Cliff was also a life long farmer. He was a member of the Guernsey Lodge #66 F&AM and Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge.
He enjoyed farming and hunting and fishing. He was active in the Farm Bureau early on in his life.
He leaves: his wife of 58 years, Carol A. (Morgan) Wellman; their children, Edward Wellman of N.C., Brenda Wellman Conrad of Kimbolton, Debra Wellman of Fredericktown and Linda Wellman of Mt. Perry; seven grandchildren, Tim (Amanda) Wellman, Jayme (Brandon) Dudley, Derrick (Heather) Conrad, Ubie Conrad, Russell Conrad, Cody Mitchell and Brandi (Colt) Moody; step-grandson Michael Chapman; great grandchildren, Avarie, Liam and Grady Wellman and Emily and Ethan Conrad; and a sister Nanny Mae Roberts and a brother Frank Wellman.
Cliff is preceded in death by eight siblings, Lafayette, Selena, Clyde, Martha Ellen, Bill, Daisy May, Rebecca May, and Etta.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 2 pm to 4 pm and on Monday, October 27 from 10 am to 11am with the service at 11am at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Leach will officiate the service with burial following in Guernsey Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Lodge Scholarship Fund / 730 Wheeling Ave / Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
