Connie LoRee Staples, age 77 of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. She was born in Cambridge on July 14, 1945, a daughter of the late Francis J. Markley and Eileen I. (Ford) Markley.
Connie had a full and rewarding life. She enjoyed her school years where she made many friends and was proud to be a member of the Cambridge High School graduating Class of 1963. She continued her involvement in class activities well into her retirement years.
She had a fast paced career working for numerous companies and always keeping an eye out for bigger and better opportunities. She even developed and managed her own printing company. She ended her career life as a manager of the Accounting Division of Public Utilities for Collier County in Naples, Florida.
Connie loved her family, friends and numerous pets. She cherished her time in the sun and she did enjoy a beer now and then.
She leaves: her brothers, William F. Markley of Byesville and
Phillip Jay (Ellen) Markley of Canton, MI; two nieces, one nephew, and six great nieces and nephews.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents; a sister-in-law; a nephew; numerous aunts; uncles; cousins; and her two dogs and cat.
