Obituary

David R. McCulley, 85, of Cambridge, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Countryview Assisted Living Center in Lore City. Born in Cambridge on March 18, 1941, he was a son of the late Mary M. (Warren) Slack and Bill “Pappy”Slack.

David spent 30 years as an Inventory Controller with Centria, where he was known for his steady work ethic and commitment to his career. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church and the Cambridge Eagles.

He is survived by his wife, Donna J. (Johnson) McCulley, whom he married on November 28, 2009. David was a devoted father and is survived by his children: Dale (Tami) McCulley of Cambridge, Jack (Dawn) McCulley of Cambridge, Bill McCulley & Dustin of Seneca, South Carolina, John (Becky Harney) Arnett of Cambridge, Don (April) Arnett of Cambridge, and Lisa (Kevin) Clipner of Byesville.

David was blessed with many grandchildren, including Troy (Brandi) McCulley, Drew McCulley, Christopher (Miranda DeLancey) McCulley, Cody McCulley, Sarah (Chris) Barnett, Trevor (Blake) Arnett, and great‑grandchildren, Owen, Dawson, Blake, Alexis, Payton, Averie, Mayzie and Paisley; a brother Paul McCulley of New Concord; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Patty Shimp, Tommy McCulley, Brenda Johnson and Jimmy McCulley.

Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 12pm to 2 pm with the service to begin at 2pm. Chaplain Kris Bright will officiate with burial to follow in Guernsey Memory Gardens. Donations may be made to Countryview Assisted Living Center in Dave’s name.
