Dean S. Thompson, age 81, of Cambridge, OH passed away Wednesday June 8, 2022 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, OH. Dean was born September 23, 1940 to the late James K. Thompson and Anna Bernice Hyde Thompson in Londonderry, OH. Dean was a graduate of Madison High School Class of 1958. He retired as a supervisor of The Guernsey County Maintenance Department. Dean was the originator of the Christmas lights on the Guernsey County Court House. A former advisor for the Guernsey County 4-H Saddle Club and a former Guernsey County Fair Board member. Dean was very involved with his grandkids attending many functions. He loved being outdoors. Loved old cars especially his 1966 Mustang which he would take many road trips in. He was a member of Londonderry United Methodist Church.
Along with his parents Dean is preceded in death by: one brother, Donald Thompson, one sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Thompson, a grandson, Jordan Thompson.
He is survived by his wife Pam J. Moore Thompson who he married November 9, 1984. Two daughters, Karen Sue (Dave) Roe of Senecaville, OH and Kelly J. (Russ) Frymyer of Cambridge, OH. Two sons, Larry D. (Mary Kay) Thompson of Lore City, OH and Chad A. (Brandi) Hibbs of Marysville, OH. One brother, Rolland "Butch" (Martha) Thompson of Lore City, OH. Grandchildren: Brandon (Tara) Thompson, Emilee Thompson (Levi), Cody (Amber) Roe, Jessi Roe, Dylan Roe, Jake Hibbs, Karlee Gebhart, Camryn Gebhart, Russell Frymyer. Great Grandchildren: Hailey, Marley, Mia, Cohen. He is also survived by several nieces.
Friends may call Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 3 to 7 pm at Bundy-Law Funeral Home and again Sunday from 1 to 2 pm at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Antrim Community Cemetery.
