Dennis "Uncle Denny" Hanes, age 76 of Cambridge, passed away on October 11, 2021 at The Beckett House in New Concord. He was a friend to all, and loved fishing . He spent many years fishing along the shores of the Atlantic, but most his time in recent years have been helping and teaching kids how to fish at Jackson Park, Byesville. Uncle Denny is also credited for teaching many of his nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren how to swim. Uncle Denny enjoyed guns, old westerns, reading Lous L'Amour novels, spending time with family, conversations and phone calls with his brothers, and most of all telling stories.
