Donald Gene Ford, age 78 of Cambridge, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at The Cambridge Health and Rehabilition Center in Cambridge. He was born January 20, 1930 in Guernsey County.
Don was a self employed carpenter, he had worked at Andrews Lumber and for John Little Construction. He was a member of The 1st United Methodist Church, the Men's Brotherhood Class, the Cambridge School Band & Choir Boosters. He attended the Morrison School and graduated from Cambridge High School.
Mr. Ford is preceded in death by: his parents, Raymond Ford and Helen Virginia Smith Ford; and 2 sisters, Mary Louise Hayes and June Williams.
Don is survived by: his wife, Marjorie Ann Fleming Ford of Cambridge; 3 daughters, Jean Kenneth Campbell of Cypress, TX, Janet Terry Shreffler of Reynoldsburg, OH and Carol Justin Marteney of Canal Winchester, OH.; 1 son, Tom Susan Ford of West Lake, OH.; 3 sisters, Jane Collart of Cambridge, OH., Joan Glenn Tuttle of Kimbolton, OH., and Patricia Harry Nichols of New Concord, OH.; 1 brother, Bill Ford of TN.; 8 grandchildren, Travis Shreffler, Justin Shreffler, Michelle Campbell, Lindsey Ford, Russell Ford, Amy Ford, Conner Marteney, Jarod Marteney; 3 great grandchildren, Jude Shreffler, Quinn Shreffler and Chloe Shreffler.
Friends may call Saturday, January 26, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at Bundy-Law Funeral Home where the service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 27, 2008. Rev. Mark Slay and Rev. Dr. Allan Bevere will officiate the service with burial following in Center Cemetery.
