Donna Joyce (Rominger) Lawton. 75, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, February 2, 2026, after a short illness at Cleveland Clinic, Dover, with her husband and son holding her hands.
Joyce was born September 4, 1950 in Boone, North Carolina to Roy Jones and Mary Alice Rominger. She was a devoted wife of fifty-six years to Mike Lawton. She was mom to Mark (Bobbi) Lawton of Kimbolton, Ohio, Sharon (Timmy) Davis of Morehead City, North Carolina, Mary Ann (Michael) Weiss of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; grandma to ten wonderful grandkids: Bo (Ashley) Moore, Morgan (Sarah) Lawton, Madison (Zakhiyah) Lawton, Braxton Lawton, John Weiss, Justine (Peter) Woshner, Joshua Weiss, Jennifer Weiss, Josiah Weiss, Joe Weiss and Bonus Granddaughter, Asia Grey; great-grandma to seven special littles whom she greatly cherished: Bradley and Allison Moore, Dawson, Emma, Easton, and Hudson Lawton, and Big Wesley Woshner.
Joyce will be remembered for her love of Jesus Christ, her family, the NFR (Rodeo), and shopping. She loved her weekly Sunday breakfasts at Denny's with all her brothers and sisters whom she loved: Ron (Linda) Rominger, Nancy (Jerry) Wilkins, Larry (Julie) Rominger, Judy Rominger Hansen, and Gary (Glenna) Rominger.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mary Alice Rominger, Sister, Linda Jean Rominger, and a sister-in-law, Julie Rominger.
