Dorothy Saft Fairchild, age 84 of Cambridge, Ohio passed away Monday, March 5, 2007 at The Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 14, 1923 in Quaker City, Ohio. Dorothy retired from The Cambridge State Hospital as an Activties Therapist. She was a Site Council Member of The Guernsey County Elder Serice. Long time member at Golden Rule & Guernsey Industries & Area Special Olympic Program.A Graduate of Madison Rural High School, Cert. Cosmatologist, Inthusiastic Volunteer for a varity of organizations.
Mrs. Fairchild is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Saft and Mary Kunico Saft. Five sisters, Helen Gibson, Betty Howard, Virginia Saft, Marie Kunash & Margaret Saft. 6 Brothers, Charles, Oscar, Paul, Clarence, Elmer & William Saft.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Deborah Kay Kintner of Bossier City, LA, Delores A. Craig West of Cambridge, Ohio. Four sons, Donald Paul Stephanie Fairchild of Cambridge, Ohio, David Allen Joyce Fairchild of Delaware, Ohio, Daniel Eric Tejuana Fairchild of Columbus, Ohio. and Douglas Ray Fairchild of Cambridge, Ohio. One sister, Anna Mae Ford of Dayton,Ohio. Two brothers, Woodrow Marie Saft of Virginia and Albert Evelyn Saft of Cambridge, Ohio. 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday March 7, 2007 at Bunday-Law Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home with Rev. James Garrett and burial will be in Center Cemetery.
