Douglas L. DeLong, age 64 of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. He was born on August 18, 1957 in Cambridge.
Mr. DeLong was a 1975 graduate of Zane Trace High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Doug worked as a technician for Colgate-Palmolive and retired after 22 years of service. He loved driving his porsche, going to car shows, spending time with his family and helping out anyone in need.
Doug is survived by: his wife of 28 years, Rhonda P. (White) DeLong, they were married on August 20, 1994; his mother Mona J. DeLong of Salesville; mother-in-law Carol L. White of Cambridge; two brothers, Darryl (& Sandy) DeLong of Salesville and Dennis (& Susan) DeLong of Senecaville; children, Rachelle Leonard of Cambridge, JoDee (& Justin) DeMond of Bowling Green, J. (& Kelsey) Kane of New Concord; grandchildren, Tyler (& Cassidy) Dingus of Canton, BreAnn (& Dylan) Shelhart of Cambridge, Ethan Kane, Gwynn Kane, Jace Kane, Gavin Searls and Lorenda Searls all of New Concord, Jansen DeMond and Jayda DeMond both of Bowling Green; one great grandson James Dingus and another on the way; brother and sister-in-laws, Tom (& Sandy) White of Wooster, Michelle Thompson of Cambridge, Beth Ann Wilson of Granville and Andy (& Theresa) White of Cambridge; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members and friends.
Preceding him in death are: his father Guy DeLong; father-in-law William White; three brothers, Darren, David and Dayle; a son-in-law Joe Leonard; and a brother-in-law Billy White.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 3 to 6 pm with a service beginning at 6 pm. Pastor Larry Jack will officiate. Graveside services will he held on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 2 pm at East Union Presbyterian Cemetery.
