Earl W. Adams, age 73 of Cambridge, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Ohiohealth Southeastern Medical Center. He was born in Dover, Ohio on March 19, 1952, a son of the late Archie Adams and Elsie (Renner) Hothem.
Mr. Adams was a graduate of Riverview High School, class of 1971. He worked for over 17 years at NCR in Cambridge and then worked and retired from RJF International in Marietta after over 28 years of service. After retiring, he was a driver for the Guernsey County Senior Center van. Earl was a member of the Cambridge Elks, he enjoyed his Thursday golf group, Cleveland Guardians, Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Earl especially enjoyed spending time with his family, kids and grandkids. Earl's life was filled with love and support to all his friends and family. He never knew a stranger. Best known for his unwavering love and support to his grandchildren. Everyone saw the pure joy when he attended any event his grandchildren participated in. You always knew he was there, and he'd never miss a chance to brag about them.
Earl leaves: his wife of 33 years, Laurel (Robinson) Adams; two sons, Eugene (& Jessica) Ayers of Mt. Sterling and Joe (& Brandy) Christian of Senecaville; nine grandchildren, Samantha (Gregory) Fox, Abbi Ayers, Jacquie Christian, Alex Christian, Beverly Ayers, Zander Ayers, Uryah Ayers, Willow Ayers and Vivian Ayers; three great grandchildren, Wesley Earl Glover, Tessa Fox and Evelynn Fox; siblings, Jim (& Annabelle) Border, Gene (& Nita) Border, Dick (& Maxine) Border, Don (& Becky) Border, Ray Adams, Nancy (& Ike) Domer; and many nieces and nephews.
Earl is preceded in death by: his parents; a son Jason A. Ayers; a nephew Raymond Border; a sister-in-law Judy Adams; a grandson Brady Ayers; and his step-father Milton Hothem.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 5 to 7 pm. His service will be at 11am on Thursday, January 22, 2026 also at Bundy-Law with burial to follow in Northwood Cemetery.
