Edith R. Barnes, 96 of Cambridge, passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at Country View Assisted Living Center. She was born on November 6, 1915 in Byesville, a daughter of the late Melvin Nicholson and Ertie (Secrest) Nicholson.
Mrs. Barnes was a homemaker and attended the Cambridge Bible Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John T. "JT" Barnes on February 7, 2000 and two brothers, Lawrence and Ernest Nicholson.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 12pm till 1 pm with the service at 1 pm. Edith's great nephew-in-law, David Scott will officiate the service with private burial following in Northwood Cemetery.
