Edna M. (Birch) Powers, age 87, formerly of Quaker City, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at the home of her son in Seven Hills, Ohio. She was born on September 2, 1937 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late James Birch and Mary (Harveska) Birch.
Mrs. Powers was Baptist by faith. She was a cook for Cleveland Public Schools for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed bingo, gambling and roller skating.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Josh T. Powers Sr. on November 18, 2009, they were married on July 30, 1955. Also preceding her in death are: a daughter Pamela Sue; four sons, Baby Boy Powers, Joseph Allen Powers, Jesse L. Powers and Jeremy L. Powers; two grandchildren; a sister Sally Dennis; and two brothers, James Birch and Ken Birch.
Surviving are: children, Josh T. (& Elizabeth) Powers Jr., Mary Ann (& Ken) Rich, Crystal L. (& Anthony) Bennett, James E. (& Nancy) Powers, John D. Powers, Jeff W. (& Paula) Powers and Jason D. Powers; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brothers, Larry (& Roberta) Birch and Ron Birch; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm with services to begin at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery. Edna's online guest book may be viewed and signed at www.bundy-lawfuneralhome.com .
