Eileen J. Perego died peacefully at the age of 94, surrounded by her family at the Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee Florida, on September 6, 2022. She was born August 22, 1928, in Martins Ferry, Ohio. Eileen was the daughter of Delbert L. Johnson and Mary Leonard Johnson.
Eileen grew up in Cambridge, Ohio and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1946., where she met and married her high school sweetheart, William Duane Perego. They lived in Cambridge, had five children. They moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, and Tallahassee, Florida, where they retired and lived out their days. They celebrated 70 years of marriage before William passed away on January 6, 2019.
Eileen was preceded in death by her sister Joan Johnson Hall of Vero Beach, Florida and one grandson, Robert Cloudus, of West Palm Beach, Florida. She is survived by her five children, William Mark Perego (Nancy), Charles Randall Perego (Gail), Beverly Perego Smith, Kathy Perego May (Glenn), and Karen Perego Huffman (Mark). She is survived by six grandchildren: James Perego, Jeffrey Perego, Dawn Perego, Breanna Smith Viscardo, Cody Smith, Justin Daniels, three step-grandchildren, and ten great grandchldren.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Northwood Cemetery, September 12 at 1 PM.
