Elizabeth W. Coughenour age 77 of New Concord, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Genesis Hospital. She was born in Cleveland on July 17, 1945.
Mrs. Coughenour received her bachelors from Capitol University and her masters degree from Ohio State University. She was the founder of the Cambridge Counseling Center in 2001 and made that her life's work. She was a member of the Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board and the "NASW" National Association of Social Workers. She enjoyed traveling, going to Florida, Las Vegas and on cruises especially. She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers.
Elizabeth is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Coughenour; son Joseph (& Kim) Coughenour; daughter Susan (& Ramon) Lynch; grandchildren, Dominick Lynch, Nicole Lynch, William Coughenour, Ethan Coughenour and Cooper Coughenour; a sister Joanne Brann; several nieces and nephews; and her work family that she cared so much about.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by: her parents, James and Elizabeth Weyer and her aunt and uncle who raised her when her parents passed away, Nevin and Betty Patterson; two brothers, James Weyer and Thomas Weyer; and a dear family friend Stephanie Cobb.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11 am at Northwood Cemetery Chapel, officiated by Pastor David Wylie. Elizabeth's online guest book may be viewed and signed at www.bundy-lawfuneralhome.com .
