Emilie R. "Boots" Beal, age 84, of Winterset, passed away Sunday June 20, 2021 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, OH. She was born February 3, 1937 in Bannock, OH to the late Mahlon Lodge and Florence Estep Lodge.
Emilie worked at Hamilton Beach and Salt Fork State Park. Emilie baby sited for many family and friends in the area. She a member of Winterset United Methodist Church.
Along with her parents Emilie is preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Beal, one son, Richard A. Beal. Three sisters: Jeanette Casterline, Juanita Laughman, Phillis Cramblett. Two brothers, Willard Lodge and Charles Lodge. Mother and father-in-laws, Orval and Norma Beal.
Emilie is survived by her husband Roger L. Beal whom she married on June 2, 1957. One daughter, Patricia (Brad) Chester of Old Washington, OH. Three sisters: Carolyn (Bob) Thatcher of PA, Elizabeth Montgomery of Antrim, OH, Elaine Bean of Winterset, OH. One brother, Dale (Carol) Lodge of Winterset, OH. Three grandchildren: Shawn (Kara) Markel, Lisa (Shawn) Ruggles, Cody Beal. Seven great grandchildren: Sydney, Sophia, Ethan, Riley (Caleb), Brandon, Matthew, Isabella. One great grandchild, Bentley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many good friends.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will take place at 4 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Clearfork Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Karen Rawlins officiating.
