Eugene L. Yocum Jr., age 81 of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Oak Pointe Care Center in Baltic. He was born on May 28, 1942 in Canton, Ohio, a son of the late Eugene Lindy Yocum Sr. and Gladys (Dickson) Yocum.
Mr. Yocum was a member of the New Concord United Methodist Church. He had worked in the coal mines and at Centria in Cambridge. He most recently worked and retired from Walmart as a greeter. Eugene loved eating with the family and playing cards and watching westerns.
Eugene was married for almost 18 years to Wanda Marie (Sleeper) Yocum. Also survived by: two step sons, Charles Garner and Christopher Garner; two sisters, Marilyn and Kathleen; six grandchildren, Kristen, Carter, Ashley, Christopher, Lyndi & Emma; and two great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by: his parents and a step sister Debbie.
A memorial service will be held at New Concord United Methodist Church, 20 East High St. New Concord, Ohio 43762, on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 11 am with Pastor Phil Wilden officiating.
