Frederick Earl "Fred" Parsons, age 78 of Quaker City, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. He was born in Glenco, Ohio on September 7, 1940, a son of the late Carl Parsons and Eliza (Giesey) Parsons.
Mr. Parsons was a 1958 graduate of Quaker City High School. He had worked at N.C.R. for 26 years and then for NAPA in Cambridge for 5 years after that. He enjoyed pitching horse shoes and was an avid card player.
Fred is survived by: his significant other and life partner of 43 years, Elaine Patterson; two sisters, Mary Ellen Stillion of Cambridge and Virginia (Don) Jackman of Cambridge; a granddaughter Kendra (Greg) Stoney of Byesville; great grandchildren, Aubree, Kynidee, Brantley, Carter and Chayse; two sister-in-laws, Sarah Parsons of Barnesville and Jerry Parsons of Fort Worth, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by: his parents; a son Lee Parsons; a daughter Diana Valentine; brothers, Bob Parsons, Gib Parsons and Ed Parsons; a sister Betty Jane Parsons; and a grandson Kyle Carter.
