Gary R. Nicholson, age 76, of Cambridge, Ohio passed away peacefully at Genesis Healthcare, Zanesville, OH on September 1, 2023. He was born September 25, 1946 in Cambridge the oldest of three children, to the late James R. and Mary Ellen Pierce Nicholson.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Linda Thomas Nicholson, whom he married July 14, 1979. A son Jeremy R. (Jessica) Nicholson of Cambridge, OH. Two granddaughters, Riley Grace and Zoey Lynn. One sister, Melissa (Tim) Wood of Claysville, OH. Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one son, Adam Richard and a brother, Craig Nicholson.

Gary was a 1964 graduate of Byesville High School. He enlisted in the Army Security Agency and served at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska for three years. Gary was proud of having served his country. Gary retired from TW Metals. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the National Turkey Federation since it was founded in 1973 and was an avid turkey hunter for many years.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Friday September 8, 2023 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will take place at 11 am Saturday September 9, 2023 at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Gaston officiating. Burial will follow at Antrim Community Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by The Guernsey County Veterans Council.
