Gene T. Laughman, age 93 of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Wheeling Medical Park. He was born on January 27, 1928 in Senecaville, Ohio, a son of the late Robert R. Laughman and Lana A. (Harding) Laughman.
Mr. Laughman served his country in the U.S.Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. Gene was a member of the Guernsey Lodge 66 F & AM, the Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, the York Rite, the Eastern Star Chapter #211; the Cambridge Eagles Lodge and the American Legion. Gene had a private pilot's license and at one time, navigated the Budweiser airship "Budone".
Gene is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann (Phillips) Laughman; a sister Margaret "Peggy" Moorehead of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews including Charlie (& Catherine) Laughman.
He is preceded in death by: five brothers, Leon Laughman, Robert Laughman, Jack Laughman, Paul Laughman, Bill Laughman; and a sister Jane Barnett.
