George H. Gibson, age 99 of Concord, North Carolina, formerly of Cambridge, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025 at his home. He was born on April 4, 1926 in Guernsey County, Ohio, a son of the late James H. Gibson and Mary E. (Durbin) Gibson.
Mr. Gibson served his country in the U.S.Navy during World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cambridge. He had worked and retired after many years, from the Cambridge Developmental Center. He was a past Noble Grand of the IOOF #301.
George is preceded in death by: his parents; his wife Norma J. (Davis) Gibson on April 20, 2025; six brothers and six sisters.
Surviving are: three sons, David (& Mary Ann) Gibson of Castle Pines, CO, Donald (& Linda) Gibson of Cambridge, OH., and Dennis (& Trish) Gibson of Harrisburg, N.C.; grandchildren, Denise (& Mark) Hing, Lindsey (& Chuck) Hilling, Erin (& Matt) Overholt, Andrew (& Janelle) Gibson, Ross (& Theresa) Gibson, Mitch (& Hilary) Gibson and Jake (& Morgan) Gibson; great-grandchildren, Maggie, Kaelin, Zoey, Reagan, Preston, Elli, Dane, George, Riley and Ashton; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on January 8, 2026 from 1 pm to 2 pm with services to begin at 2 pm. Pastor Dan Milburn will officiate the service with burial to follow in Northwood Cemetery. Military Graveside Honors will be performed by the Guernsey County Veteran's Council.
