Gladys Lee Tomplait, age 95 of Cambridge, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Ohio Health SEORMC. She was born on July 6, 1929 in Belmont, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles Edward Cain and Virginia Gertrude (Hockenberry) Cain.
Mrs. Tomplait was a life time member of the Trinity Baptist Church. She had worked for the State of Ohio at the unemployment office. Gladys was an avid Ohio State football fan.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Thomas G. Tomplait on Sept 3, 2018, they were married for 66 years. Also deceased is her sister Evelyn.
Surviving are: two sons, Gerald (& Debra) Tomplait of Nashport and Steven (& Annette) Tomplait Cambridge; a daughter Donna L. Tomplait of Cambridge; six grandsons, Mike (& Chrissy) Tomplait, Kevin (& Amanda) Tomplait, Jason (& Kelly) Tomplait, Cole (& Cassie) Tomplait, Caleb (& Christa) Tomplait and Nathan Tomplait; ten great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Guernsey Memory Gardens on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 1:30pm. Pastor Bob Beike will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donation's may be made to the Guernsey County Cancer Society or Muskingum County Cancer Society.
