Hank Wendorf, age 87 of Cambridge, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Genesis Health Care in Zanesville. He was born on April 25, 1932 in Ravenna, Ohio, a son of the late Harris S. Wendorf and Elizabeth M. (Mertz) Wendorf.
Mr. Wendorf was a Korean War Veteran, having served in the United States Air Force. He was a very active and involved member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Hank worked and retired from V.N. Holderman Company in Columbus, where he was a superintendent / surveyor. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.
Hank is survived by: his wife of 62 years, Martha Jane (Stahl) Wendorf; two daughters, Brenda (Bill) Mills of Isle of Palms, SC and Mary (Marvin) Founds of Columbus; a son Jeffrey (Judie) Wendorf of Hartville; four grandchildren, Kristy Mills,Stephanie (Ben) Altenbach, Jarrod (Katie) Wendorf and Janelle Wendorf; and a great granddaughter Eleanor Altenbach.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mary Fuller.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at St. John's Episcopal Church 1025 Steubenville Ave, Cambridge, OH. with Rob Morris and Bob Howell officiating.
