Howard M. Hayes age 92 of Kimbolton, Ohio passed away May 31, 2013 at his residence. He was born on May 3, 1921 in Boone, North Carolina to the late Carroll and Nettie (Moody) Hayes. Also preceding him in death was his wife Evelyn F. Hayes on November 20, 2007 and whom he married on May 14, 1960, 4 sisters Lois Patterson, Lena Hammersley, Leota Postile and Florence Easterday, 4 brothers Jack, Claude, Preston and Fred Hayes. Howard was a Staff Sergeant in World War II with the 754th Fighter Squadron in which he had over 50 combat missions from Africa to Italy. He was a retired contractor and he enjoyed attending various churches and enjoyed spending time with family. He is survived by a son Dan Hayes of the home, 3 daughters Ruth (Bill) Lehman and Connie (Jeff) Berkshire both of Newcomerstown, Cheryl (John) Whyte of Cadiz, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, a sister Mable Pollock of Newcomerstown and a brother Homer Hayes of Beavercreek, Ohio. Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 on Monday June 3, 2013 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home with funeral services to be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday June 4, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor CE (Sonny) Easterday officiating.
