Isabel Kovalchik, age 93 of Byesville, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Kingston of Vermilion. She was born on March 13, 1928 in Robins, Ohio, daughter of the late Stephen and Susanna (Slosky) Kovalchik.
Mrs. Kovalchik was a graduate of Trail Run High School and a member of the Christ Our Savior Orthodox Church in Byesville. Isabel had worked and retired from Fabriform in Byesville. She loved working at the Church and was on the Church council for over 50 years.
Isabel is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Joseph T. Kovalchik; brothers, Stephen, George and John Kovalchik; sisters, Mary Veselenak and Anna Trubisky; a daughter Suzanne Kovalchik; a nephew Ronald Trubisky; and son in law Michael Chemorov Jr.
She leaves: a daughter Joanne Chemorov; grandchildren, Aaron Kovalchik, Chrysa (& Sam) Babic and Nicholas Chemorov; a great grandson Quinn Kovalchik; nephews, Michael Veselenak, Gary (& Karen) Veselenak and Richard (& Christine) Veselenak; nieces, Elaine Stennett, Mary Jane (& Bill) Ferguson and Karen (& Richard) Chorey.
Visitation will be held at Christ The Savior Orthodox Church in Byesville on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 9 am to 10 am with the service to begin at 10 am. Fathers Ben Johnson and Joseph McCartney will officiate with burial to follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
