James A. Crawford, age 82 of Quaker City, formerly from Dalton, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 28, 2016. He was born in Procious, W.V. on January 10, 1934, a son of the late Annis C. Crawford and Emma Woods.
Mr. Crawford was a retired Maintenance Mechanic for Volvo G.M. Heavy Truck in Orville Plant #1. He was a member of the Massillon Moose Lodge #481 and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating.
James leaves behind: his wife of 58 years, Hazel R. (Anderson) Crawford; three daughters, Marquetta (Robert) Kvochick of Quaker City, Bonita Graybill of Byesville and Patricia (Anthony) McLaughlin of Marietta; one son James E. (Jennifer) Crawford of Quaker City; one sister Norma Chapman of Elk River, WV.; four grandchildren, Jesse, Rebecca, Kyle and Shelby; five great grandchildren, Lilly, Landon, Mia, Adelyn and Colton; and many nieces and nephews.
James is preceded in death by: his parents; three brothers, Dennis, Edward and Dencil Crawford; and a sister Rita Bee.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 2, from 2 to 6 pm. The funeral service will take place at the Old Washington United Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 3, at 12 pm with visitation from 11 am to 12 pm. Rev. Clayton Coffey will officiate the service with burial to follow in Guernsey Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of Guernsey at P.O.
