Obituary

James "Jim" Myron Young, age 90, of Byesville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday October 8, 2025 at the Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio after a brief stay.
Born on July 7, 1935 in Noble County, he was the son of the late George and Rosella (Dager) Young. He met his school sweetheart, Patricia Fannin in Sarahsville and they were married for 72 wonderful years.
Jim spent many years in trucking as an owner-operator , driving dump trucks alongside his two sons. He loved cars and trucks and was always tinkering in his garage , even at the age of 90. He could often be found tending his tractor, mowing his yard, or working on a project he loved. He also enjoyed trap shooting, talking about cars, and spending time with his beloved poodles- Koko, Kurly, and Maggie- and his cat Millie. He will be laid to rest alongside the ashes of his three cherished poodles.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Young; his children Rick Young of Byesville, Kevin Young and wife Rita of Canton, and Janet Teas and husband David of Zanesville; his grandchildren Lacey Slatten and husband Cody of Savannah, GA.,Chelsea Callahan and husband Darrick of Byesville, Sebastian Teas of Athens, and Aubrey Teas of Columbus; and his three great-granddaughters Summer, Sophie, and Sadie Callahan.
He is also survived by his sisters, Joyce Eltringham of Cambridge and Patricia Justice of Sarahsville, his brother William Young of Caldwell; many nieces and nephews; and his brothers and sisters in law, Chuck Justice, Ruth Young, and Phil Doan.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Ann Willey, Carolyn Pavlik, and Donna Doan; his brother Larry Young; his daughter-in-law Marlene Young; his brothers in law Mike Eltringham, George Pavlik, Dohron Willey, and Ronald LaFollette; and his sister in law Emogene Young
Jim lived a long and full life, filled with love, laughter, and devotion to his family. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit and memories he created will remain in our hearts forever.
Calling hours will be from 11:00 to 1:00 on Monday October 13, 2025 at Bundy-Law Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 1:00 at the funeral home with Mark Beros officiating.
