Jeanette Ann Meighen, 94, of Westlake, Ohio, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, November 7, 2021. She was born February 14, 1927, in Kipling, Ohio, daughter of the late Elmer and Nettie (Noble) Long. She was the beloved wife of the late, Donald F. Meighen for 59 years. Jeanette was a resident of Cambridge prior to moving to Westerville, Ohio, where she lived for 13 years.

Jeanette was a graduate of Byesville High School where she was a majorette; an employee of Kennedy's Bakery; a member of the Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority Phi Chapter; an employee of the Cambridge City School District-Park School; a volunteer of the Southeastern Regional Hospital; a long time member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, Mary Reed Circle; She was also a dedicated volunteer for the Cambridge High School Band Boosters and a loyal fan of The Ohio State University Football team.

Nothing was more important to Jeanette than family. She was a loving mother to Kathy (Andrew) Bemer of Rocky River, Ohio; Durinda (Daniel) Fisher of Anna, Texas and Janet Meighen of Westerville, Ohio. A devoted grandmother to her grandchildren, Jill (Kyle) Scheatzle, Michael Bemer, Katie (Josh) Crawford, Jason Fisher, Jeremy (Somer) Fisher, Brittany Kirwin and Melissa Kirwin: great grandchildren, Brooklyn Fisher, Brayden Fisher, Brody Fisher and Lucy Crawford.

As a loving sister, Jeanette leaves behind David (Lorna) Long of Elkhart, Indiana and Robert (Mary Belle deceased) Long of Cambridge.

She was preceded in death by a sister Helen Bocherding and brothers Charles Long, John (Wilson) Long and Thomas Long.

Jeanette was a dear aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many.

The family will receive friends at Bundy-Law Funeral Home, 120 N. 11th Street, Cambridge, on Friday, December 3, from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, December 4, at 11:00 am at Ninth Street United Methodist Church, 139 N. 9th Street, Cambridge. The family requests masks be worn. Burial will be in Guernsey Memorial Gardens.
