Joan Ann "Granny Joan" Albaugh age 73 of Lore City, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at her residence. She was born on October 2, 1950 in Johnstown, PA, a daughter of the late Leo R. Farabaugh and Catherine Kay (Warchola) Farabaugh.
Mrs. Albaugh was a graduate of West Technical High School in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a member of the Peoples Community Church, Community Sewing Angels and a member of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees. Joan was also a member of the West Chester Senior Center. She had worked many years at the Cambridge Library, enjoyed the kids and all the children's programs.
Joan leaves her husband of 40 years, Jerry W. Albaugh; a brother William Butkosky; three daughters, Barbra Snyder (Ted Lemon), Tracy (Marc) Winans, Michelle (Travis) Humphrey; grandchildren, Eric Lemon, Felisha (Ian) McKever, Celia (Chris) Everhart, Tim (Taylor) Paden, Josh Paden and Kenny Paden; great grandchildren, Madison, Nick, Avery, Camden, Jaxon and Annabelle; and good friends, Gail Workman, Emanual and Ada Miller.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Barbara Evans.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm with a service to begin at 1 pm. Pastor Ernie Norman will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Guernsey at P.O Box 1165 Cambridge, Ohio 43725 or to Genesis Cancer Center in Zanesville.
