John C. Enos, age 83 of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. He was born on February 24, 1940 in Cambridge, a son of the late William Benjamin and Sarah (Stephens) Enos.
Mr. Enos was a 1957 graduate of Cambridge High School and received a degree in X-Ray Lab from Carnegie Institute in Cleveland. He had worked at Guernsey Memorial Hospital and Good Samaritan in Zanesville along with being the co owner of J&K Angus & Meat Processing Farm and Karen's Kountry Kitchen. He was a 50 year board member of the SWCD and Crossroads; he was on the Guernsey Muskingum Electric Board for almost 40 years; he was a chairman on the Eastern Ohio Angus Association where he had received the Distinguished Service Award; he was on the market 4-H steer committee and a 4-H advisor for 20 years. He was an active member of the Mt. Hermon Church, and had been an elder and trustee and a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. John was on the FSA committee, the Ohio Cattlemen's and the Ohio Meat Cutter's Association and on the Farm Bureau. He was also a member of the Guersney Masonic Lodge.
He leaves: his wife of 62 years Karen Enos; a son Chip (Tracie) Enos; sister Marybelle Teters; sister-in-law Jeanine Thompson; step-sisters, Maxine Duffey and Jane (JR) Gibson; grandchildren, Bethaney, Myra (Jeff) and Ryan; great grandchildren, Alex and Hadley; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Marybeth (Rick), Dena, Jay, Roger (Amber) and Brian; cousins, Janice Bilker and Joyce Horvath and three special extended family members, Joyce Combs, Vickie Cramblett and Valorie Gibson; and a son in law Dennis Morrow.
John is preceded in death by: his parents; a daughter Stacey Lynn Enos Morrow; a brother Bennie (wife Pamela) Enos; brother in laws, Ward Teters, Bob Duffey and Ernie Thompson; three nephews, Tim Moorehead, Robie Cravenor and Mark Eyen; and a niece Alison.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 3 pm to 7 pm and Thursday morning at Mt. Hermon Presbyterian Church from 10 am to 12 pm with the service to begin at 12 pm. Pastor Jim Gibson and Mike McCauley will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
