John A. Henry age 86 of Byesville, Ohio passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on September 6, 1938 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late John and Virginia (Laurer) Henry. He graduated from Byesville High School in 1957.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother Richard Henry, his sisters, Joan (Gary) Hoffman and Virginia (Karl) Taylor, In-laws, Ervil and Bernice (Watson) Dudley, a granddaughter Lauren Johnson - Wear and a great great grandson Ashton Frenton.
He is survived by his wife, Melba (Dudley) of 66 years, his sons John (D. Denise) Henry, Albert (Ruth Ann) Henry, his daughters Denise (Jeff) Jurkovich and Laura (Brian) Wear; his grandchildren, John Henry Jr., Amber Peterson, Misty Johnson, Heather Frenton, Adam Henry, Lily Henry, Christopher Henry, Hannah Spade, Joseph Jurkovich, Jennifer Larrick, Ariel Wear and Autumn Wear; sisters Delores (Jim) Hydock, Lucille Drespling, brother Paul (Gail) Henry; as well as eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
John was a member of the New Concord Church of Christ. He worked for the Fabri-Form Company for 36 years.
He loved to spend time with his wife; the love of his life, his children, grandchildren and best friend Dave Jakubisin.
He loved to golf and make up songs to sing to his grandchildren.
