John Michael Hubal, age 61 of Cambridge, passed away on Tuesday September 27, 2022 with Family. He was born in Cambridge Ohio on February 22, 1961, a son of the late John Michael "Spike" Hubal and Martha (LaCroix) Hubal.
Mike was a 1979 graduate of Cambridge High School. He worked at Detroit Diesel as a maintenance technician for over 33 years and had a strong work ethic. Mike had a passion for anything with a motor and loved understanding how things worked. He had a young spirited heart and was a true thrill seeker, some included water skiing, racing go karts, and riding motorcycles. Mike was competitive by nature and always up for a game, many of which he would typically win. Most knew him for his quick witted sense of humor and natural ability to make others laugh. Mike was happiest out and about and keeping up with familiar faces. He was Catholic by faith and a member of the Cambridge Moose, Elks, Eagles and V.F.W. Micheal's family and friends are forever grateful for all the memories and will forever honor his fun loving spirit. He will truly be missed.
Surviving are: his children, Holly Cook, John Hubal, and Eli Hubal; five sisters, Cathy Couto, Karen Bodner, Linda George, Mary Marion and Lisa Longan; grandchildren, Jillian, Chloe, Will, Peyton, Clara, Koen and Everley; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 12pm to 3pm and on Monday from 10am to 11am at Christ Our Light Parish with the Funeral Mass beginning at 11am. Father Paul Hrezo will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of sending flowers please keep in mind Mike's love for plants.
