John R. Long, age 72 of Cambridge, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Cambridge Place. He was born on March 29, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late John E. Long and Ann R. (Brown) Long.
Mr. Long had his doctorate degree and worked as a statistician for Bayer / Merck for many years. He loved Jesus and his church, he was formerly a member of Christian Missionary Alliance in New Jersey. He enjoyed magic tricks and performing them at nursing homes. He also enjoyed playing tennis and contra dancing.
John was never married. He is preceded in death by: his parents and an infant sister Barbara Long.
He leaves a sister Kathleen A. Long of Cambridge.
